Broth and early shifts
Mika Sato
Starts the pots before sunrise and tastes every batch. Ask her about the tonkotsu and she will tell you the whole story.
Neon NoodleAbout
Neon Noodle is one counter, fourteen stools and a few big pots of broth. We cook for the people who keep the city running at night.
Our story
Lower Kessel never really sleeps. Drivers finish late. Bakers start early. Bar staff want a proper meal after the last customer leaves.
We opened Neon Noodle so they would always have somewhere warm to go. The counter sits under the arcade lights, where it used to be a phone repair stall.
Our broth simmers for hours, so the pots never really go off. Keeping the doors open felt like the natural next step.
No reduced night menu. Every broth, every topping, every hour.
Lots of people come in on their own. The counter is built for it.
Your bowl comes quickly. How long you stay is up to you, unless there is a queue.
The crew
Three shifts, one kitchen. Say hello. They'll happily talk broth all night.

Noodles and night shifts
